There are 3 ski areas around the Lipnolake
- Kramolin near Lipno nad Vltavue
The Ski Resort Lipno is the perfect place for families with children. The resort includes a snow park, an entertaining ski cross course, a timed slalom run, an educational Fox park as well as animation programmes. Simply, a children’s paradise. Refreshments and supplementary services, like equipment rentals or a ski school, are also available on the grounds. - Sky Resort Hochficht
Go skiing to the largest Austrian resort located outside the Alps.

A smaller family ski resort. There are three regularly groomed runs that are 1,500 – 1,800 m long; they offer a wonderful view of the Alps.
Cross-country skiing
When the snow has fallen around Lake Lipno, there are several places where trails are available for both classic and skating cross-country skiing. There are approx. 70 km of trails in the area of the Lipnolake
- Frymburk
- Pasecna
- Horni Plana
- Schoneben
- Hochficht
Ice skating
If the winter is cold enough, Lake Lipno freezes over and you can go skating if the ice is sufficiently thick.
If you didn't bring skates, you can rent skates (usually ice hockey) at various places.
With a bit of snow on the ice you also can go cross-country skiing
